First menu item without the category you can?

Are on Joomla 3.3.6 and I set Sef Advance with the voice to include the category in the url, just that I have a problem. In the main menu item component puts in two sizes url alias, why?
example if I have a main menu item pointing to an article type: strawberry
I will have the url:
www.mysite.icom/strawberry/strawberry/

I would rather just www.mysite.com/strawberry/

Menu has nothing to do with SEF Advance URLs. The URLs are generated from category and article titles:
/category-title/subcategory-title/article-title/
