AJAX Scroller: limiting number of news

Hi,

I want to limit the number of news that show up on AJAX Scroller, maybe to last five, for instance. How can I do that?

While you are at it: apart from 0 to mean static content (uncategorized), on the include categories field, you could also have, for instance, negative numbers to indicate categories to exclude, and something else (00?) to exclude static content. I have some 40 categories, I only wanted to exclude the static content, so I had to write out each category's ID, which is a little absurd.

If I set "Max number of items" as 3 or 5, it doesn´t work (blank scroll). It just works with 0.
I´m using J! 1.5.10 and legacy mode.
