New versions of SEF Advance

21.01.2009
SEF AdvanceNew versions of SEF Advance have been released both for Joomla! 1.5 and 1.0. The upgrade includes various new features like easier administration, improved Joomfish compatibility, redirects for legacy SEF URLs and much more. On popular demand, we have also built another two SEF extensions: for EasyFAQ and RSGallery2.

The easier administration allows column sorting for alias, redirect and logs, not fount log grouping by URL, direct popup icon on list next to not found URLs and redirects and warning when trying to add duplicate alias or source redirect.

For better integration with Joomfish, the feature not to use prefix for default language in order to preserve original URLs is now added to SEF Advance 2008 for Joomla 1.5 too.

There is a new feature to redirect legacy core-SEF URLs (content/view/2/5/) to corresponding SEF Advance 2008 SEF URLs. This will make migration of Joomla 1.0 to 1.5 even easier because it will attempt to automatically redirect requests for old-style URLs that might got indexed in search engines.

Besides new features various bugs and issues have been fixed in the past couple of months.

To upgrade from previous version export your settings, uninstall the old version, install the new one and import the settings again. No data will be lost.
