Ajax Register install problem
« on: 04 August 2011, 18:53 »
Hello,
I installed Ajax Register 1.6.1 on a Joomla 1.6 fresh install. It appears well in the Components menu and the plugin Ajax Register is enabled.
But when I want install a new module to use it, it is not displayed in the Modules types list.

I tested it on a local box (with a wamp server) and all is ok (PHP 5.3.5).
So I verified what PHP version run on my internet services provider: it is 5.2.17. I suppose it is ok.

I re-installed it , without change and no more success.

I read the forum ; this issue is not part of a topic.

So I would be pleased if someone can provide help.
Many thanks and regards,
Edwige

AJAX Register is not a module, it's a component. It replaces the Joomla's own registration component. So you access it by going to your regular Joomla registration URL. If you want to add it to menu you add Users component, Registration view / layout.

I'm very sorry but I done the installation procedure described inthe readme.txt file and I'm still at the same point.
Installation seems ok but I still have the Joomla login mode, not the Ajax Register mode at the screen.
Could you have a quick look on my site (I can provide you admin access by email).

URL?

Again, AJAX Register does not change the LOGIN, it changes the REGISTRATION screen.

So what's the problem now? You can see AAX Register working here: http://www.ortrans.org/en/component/users/?view=registration
