Requirements for Email Directory

Email Directory is a component for Joomla! / Mambo content management system (CMS).
Therefore it has the same requirements on web server as the CMS itself.

• PHP
• mySQL
• Joomla! 1.x (1.0 or 1.5 once stable) or Mambo 4.x (4.5 or 4.6)
• ionCube loader

To run Email Directory your site needs to have support for ionCube encoded files.
ionCube is an established industry standard solution for PHP encoding and your server may already support it. If it doesn't, ionCube also supports runtime loading of encoded files. This means that, in most cases, all you need to do is to upload the free ionCube loader (available at http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php) to your site and Email Directory will work. This way no changes in server configurations are required and the loader can be employed on share hosts without problems.

To check whether your site already supports ionCube encoding or runtime loading use the
tester script.
Unpack the zip file and follow the instructions from readme.txt. The script will tell you which steps you need to take in order to get ionCube running.
