Moving to Joomla!

14.09.2005
As you might know the development team behind Mambo left the project and continued the development of this award-winning software under a new name - Joomla.
As a member of this development team I will from now on continue the development of all products and custom solutions towards Joomla.

Last supported version of Mambo will therefore be 4.5.2.3. All possible future versions of Mambo will no longer be supported. Instead I will ensure that all products will work on upcomming Joomla 1.0 so the users that wish to upgrade can do it without problems.

To celebrate Joomla's arrival I will be releasing a new version of SEF advance with several improvements including ability to define custom URLs. All existing customers will be able to upgrade for free.

Long live Joomla!

Mambo Open Source Development Team - Letter to the community

17.08.2005
Much has been said about the Mambo Open Source project and the establishment of the Mambo Foundation to benefit the future of Mambo.

We, the core development teams, unanimously believe:

* An open source project is about people producing free and open software and contributing to something as a team for the benefit of others.

* Open source projects reflect the spirit of collaboration and fun while garnering community feedback and providing good governance that allows for business to confidently invest in its development.

* Open source projects are open to the participation of anybody who can contribute value and is willing to work with the community.
