hi again.
Recently i've made the switch from sef advance 4.6.1 to sef advance 2008 1.0.9.

I notice that in sef adv configuration, strings, the entry for the component 'wrapper' is no longer in the list. I double checked the install sql, and indeed the sef_config table has no wrapper column.

When i enable sef advanced, the url in my menu that normally links to a wrapper menu item doesnt work (http://www.sitename.com/option,com_wrapper/view,wrapper/), and firefox alerts me 'the url is not valid and cannot be loaded.'

however, with built in joomla1.5 sef, the url generated in the menu works:
http://www.sitename.com/medical/procedures-and-pricing

If I enable sef advance 2008 and enter that url (/medical/procedures-and-pricing), sef advance changes the url to www.sitename.com/Itemid,720/option,com_wrapper/view,wrapper/ and the page loads correctly.

Do you know of a way i can make sef adv make the working url, Itemid,720/option,com_wrapper/view,wrapper/,  or possibly alias it to something nicer?

thanks,
Rusty

The wrapper now takes the URL string from the menu so the configuration string is not needed.

But it's interesting to see how you get that link, how you added it to your menu. Because when I add a wrapper I get URL like:
http://site/wrapper-google/
which works correctly.

You can send me a link to your site and possibly the admin password and I will have a look.

An update on this. I only get an error when I use any type of legacy menu style. A flat style works fine.

You can see the problem in action here on the bottom left below all of the menus.

http://www.adblaze.com

If you look at the menu named "Test" you will see that the wrapper worked fine.

The "Test 2" menu was created the same exact way only it is using a Legacy menu. It creates a corrupted link. It should be:

http://www.adblaze.com/google-test-page-2

For some reason I'm getting this:

http://www.adblaze.com/website%11position%11checker

It appears to be using corrupted info from another wrapper I had created and deleted. This only started once I installed SEF Advance.

That's one of the first things I did, I also cleared my cache. I'm not a complete Joomla noob. I sent you my login details yesterday.

As I said before. This only happens when using a legacy menu style and the link it always creates is:

http://www.adblaze.com/website%11position%11checker

I double checked that that wrapper item was deleted and it has been.

What do you mean by legacy menu style?

Please send a mail with the access info (admin password) because I can not replicate your problem.

I sent the login details a week ago. I will send again right now to email address emir@sakic.net. When you are editing the settings for each module you have the settings for "Menu Style". If I use "List" the links in the menu parse properly. If I choose any of the legacy menu items I get the error i spoke of previously. "Legacy - Vertical" "Legacy - Horizontal" "Legacy - Flat List". Where were you trying to reproduce the error? If you look at my last module on the left side of my page you can see the error I'm speaking of. Its labeled "Test 3".
