Strange behavior

I have SEF Advance installed and everything seems to be working except for one thing.  I have completed deleted a category and section yet it still appears in the URL title but only if I have SEO enabled.

Details... I have two sections (PETS & VETS)... then I have categories (DOGS/CATS/ALL) under each.  If I click on the submenu that SHOULD go to PETS->DOGS it actually displays VETS-DOGS and the menu item disappears.

I have completed deleted the DOGS category in VETS and it still shows up so something is being cached.  I have disabled caching and it still appears.  And like I mentioned, if I completely turn of SEF everything works perfectly ...

Any ideas?

Thanks ... fixed that problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the product... now it is a different problem....

i have a three tiered menu using the vortex rockettheme.  when you click on the first menu item it displays the two sub menu items correctly with the correct content.  click on the submenu item and the menu items disappear but content does appear (a list of articles).  click on any article and all the menu items come back including the third tier.

If I completely disable SEO everything works perfectly...

Any ideas....

Well maybe I spoke to soon...

Here is my problem now.  All I want to do is change the menu options to remove the filter option and change the sort order.  I have changed it for EVERY menu item and it still will not change.  If I turn off SEF then it works.  I'm now starting to see my links showing up higher in the search engines so that's a good thing but if I can't make simple changes to menus that's very frustrating.

Do you have any ideas what is going on?  I am not using the "blog" options for any menus and all the menu titles are unique.  I'd be happy to create you a temp login if you have the time to see why this isn't working.  Any other ideas I would really appreciate.

Yes ... again it was my error 

I did as instructed and when to the trash to delete everything and each time I went it was empty.  I never did see the dropdown menu to select menu items there.  When I did there were probably 50 or more old menuitems there.  Deleted them all out of the trash and everything started working again.

Sorry to have bothered you again.... glad its working correctly however and I AM starting to see articles get high rankings, especially on the MSN and yahoo engines.
