Hi,

I have recently installed SEF Advance and since the print function on my site no longer prints the page I am on. No matter which page you are on the site, when you click the printer icon it brings up the same page to print, not the page you are on.

I have deactivated SEF now to get the print function to work ok, but kinda defeats the purpose!  Is there a fix for this issue???

Thanks,

Marc

I was kinda hoping you could give me an idea of what I should be looking for... I don't really like handing out my admin password...I am sure you can understand.

When I use only the joomla SEF it works fine and print the correct pages, I confirmed that...so it is definitely with SEF Advance and it's config.

It definitely works for me (check on the demo site I posted).
So I can't replicate it. I can't help unless you post a link with SEF Advance turned on so I can see it. And probably I will need more info too.

You can see it in action here: http://modelgasboats.com/magazine/magazine/ chose any article to print except the main page of Issue 18 (current issue) and it will always bring up the main page of Issue 18 to print. With SEF turned off works fine.

Looks like it's some issue with that magazine component you are using (in interaction with SEF).
I can't say exacly without that FTP access...

Well, I am pulling off that component until I can find a fix. Too bad, looks like a great asset, but if nobody can help fix it, it is kinda useless to me. Sad

A refund would be nice since I did meet all the requirements for it to work... Sad  or a fix...  The people at Ijoomla say that the magazine component is compatible with SEF Advance... I give up for now...have too many other things to take care of... thanks anyway.

I am sorry but you can't expect me to fix a problem like this within 24 hours. Please allow for resonable time, I have priorities.

This IS a problem with 3rd party component, to find out what exactly takes time. You saw yourself that print works correctly with core Joomla so it meets the requirements that it has been advertized for.

I am willing to find out the problem even though I don't support 3rd party components. So please provide info needed and kindly wait for a resonable amount of time. A week or so is resonable, not 24 hours.

Thank you.

Saka,

I finally got to moving my Joomla install to the root directory like you had suggested. I reinstalled SEF Advance and it is working pretty good. So far only glitch I have found is that my "Authors" section is not working in my Ijoomla Magazine component. Any ideas?  I will also try to find a solution at Ijoomla.

Thanks.

You mean links like:
http://www.modelgasboats.com/magazine/author/Marc-Levac/6.html
?

In that case it's up to the extension for iJoomla Magazine so it's best to contact them.

Yes, exactly.  Thank you  I will see with them. Smiley  SEF Advance is working nicely though and seems to have resolved some issues I was having with different menu IDs.

Is there any way of configuring it so it converts other links also, such as the "Top" links at the bottom of all my articles?
