Hi all.

I just installed the component and it's looking great. Really good job.

However, I would like to use my website with BLOG CONTENT SECTIONS and I understand that it's not supported to make it changed automatically as category names. For example :

http://www.mywebsite.com/section-name(UNsupported)/category-name(supported)/item-name(supported)/

Please tell me that I am wrong or if there is anything I can do to make it work.

Thanks in advance!
Guy.

I don't understand your question.

The articles have format:
domain.com/setion_name/category_name/item_name/

Blog section has format:
domain.com/s/section_name/

Blog category has format:
domain.com/c/category_name/

 Hi Saka,

Thanks for replying so fast.

Sorry for my English, probably I didn't explain myself correctly.

When installing SEF I see that the links have changed. Every Category you can see its title on the URL.

But, sections stays as BLOGSECTION and not act like categories.

I have created blog section in the mainmenu, if that's help. Anyway, this is the way I want to work with Joomla - Blogsections, is it possible to have "BLOGSECTION" work exactly as Categories ?

Thanks again for the quick answer. I am sure this component has a great support.

Best!
Guy.

Again I'm unclear what you mean.

The format for blogsection is:
domain.com/blogsection/section_name/

You can replace word "blogsection" by something else like "s" so you can get:
domain.com/s/section_name/

You can't, however, skip it completely.

So you haven't begun with my suggestion to have a choice whether blog or list have a /blogsection/ or /listsection/ at the beginning?

@Xenon: it's not that simple. You can have blogsections and blogcategories with all/multiple sections or single section resp. category.

What will URL look like in all those cases? It would need to be:
domain.com/section_name/ for blogsection with single section
domain.com/category_name/ for blogcategory with single category
domain.com/Itemid/ for blogsection with multiple/all sections/categories.

All those cases would also need to be tested to check if it's static content or component. It would create many "ifs" and many issues.

In the same time what would we do with list views?
domain.com/listsection/section_name/ - OK
But what about category listing?
domain.com/listcategory/category_name/ or domain.com/list/section_name/category_name/

Well, we can add and add features on Joomla's highly unsuitable database structure for SEF, until everything breaks apart or we can choose stability and performance as top priority.

But if you need this feature you are welcome to contact me for a custom work. If it then performs well after some of testing I would be happy to include it.
