Could be Itemid issue?
Is iJoomla added to main menu as component?
Turn on debug and see if Itemid gets a value.

Hi,
I seem to get an Item ID on Sections/Catagories that were created AFTER installing SEF Advanced. My existing Sections have no Item ID.
I don't mind creating my sections again, It just may be a hassle for someone with a huge existing site.
Thanks
Glenn

Existing sections / categories should have Itemid as well. The reason why they don't probably lies in some of the following:
- Make sure that particular item is added to main menu (not as URL but as content, component or blog) and it's made public, not registered.
- Make sure there are no duplicates for that menu entry (not even unpublished ones)
- Make sure that the trash is emptied for menu entries.

Hi,
I Give up.
I have disabled it for iJoomla News Portal.
iJoomla News Portal, is a component that picks up your Sections/Catagories and Content and just lays them out as a news portal.
It comes with a Module that Lists your sections only, so it creates it's own "Menu Items" in its own Module.
I deleted all my sections/Catagories. Emptied all the trash. Basically started from scratch. Some of the sections/catagories work, some don't???
I need to move on...
Regards

Is your iJoomla added to menu too as component?
It's best to just send me the URLs that doesn't work along with your admin password and FTP access and I will have a look.

No. IJoomla comes with its own menu Module.
I will email you the access to the site.
Thanks

OK, after looking at this I can conclude that the problem is in the extension for iJoomla component which, after conversion gives URLs like:
Quote
index.php?option=com_news_portal&Itemid=option=com_news_portal&task=category&id=&Itemid=
that are completely wrong.
I suggest you contact iJoomla author for support or deactivate SEF for this component in SEF Advance configuration.

Hi this is the reply from iJoomla news:
Quote
Hi,
To make working news portal component with most of SEF components for Joomla, like SEF Advanced, Artio, Open SEF, we are using a file in our component that makes the relations between. Seem that when we create this file we were using an older SEF Advanced version. Now we added the correct code to work with last version you have.
Because can be more ways to configure SEF components, we may miss some of them, but it can be fixed in very short time, and new file is available in next component release for all users.
Thanks a lot,

I have the same issue with the iJoomla News Portal. I'm getting the /index/.htm/.html extension in my categories and sections using the old SEF Advance. When I opened the suggested file, the coding was not in the right place and it appeared that the code was altered and commented out using /*. This might be because Merav added some code to help us because I believe that my version of the News Portal is newer than written here.
I tried to upgrade to the new SEF but the categories and sections do not display any articles using the new version. So I uninstalled and installed the old SEF for now.
Is there a fix for either of these problems that works?
Thank you in advance,
JR
