SEF Advance extension for Community Builder
« on: 27 January 2007, 07:43 »
Sakic.Net brings you SEF Advance extension for Community Builder v1.0.2 (http://www.joomlapolis.com). You can download it from SEF Advance extension site.

This extension is provided for free to all SEF Advance customers unsupported. It may not work for the future versions of Community Builder.

If you find any bugs or problems running the extension please report here and we will look into it when time allows.

If you want to uninstall just delete the file components/com_comprofiler/sef_ext.php

I have just downloaded the trial version and the CB component.

I too have the problem on the login page and register new user page

Where i receive the message not authorised to view.

Do i have to put anything in the "Customer component strings" section. It has the default customcomp=>cc

Also, i use SOBI2 and ezine, both of which work but i don't see any component options in the Strings tab. Is this correct?

Thanks

Make sure that you have added component "comprofiler" to your menu (usually this would be in your usermenu).
Also make sure this menu entry has been set to Public access, not Registered.

I usually don't write extensions for any 3rd party component but instead encourage the component's author to write it (while I offer support and free SEF Advance license).

However, if someone badly needs extension for a particular component I write it for a fee and release to public after that (this is how extensions for Community Builder and SOBI2 came to world).

So if you want me to write an extension you can either pay for it or wait for someone else to do so. :)

It was working with D4J Ezine, but has now stopped for some reason.

http://www.canza.cz/ezine/sports just takes to the main index page....

Also,
Is possible to change to put the name and last name instead of username. Could You make an option in the sef extension file?

If the component is properly added to menu you should have permissions. Try debug option.

You mean in the URL? No, just username, the name would not be unique.

Hi Sakic

When i have the community builder component enabled, i a server error when trying to approve a profile image of a user.

malformed header from script. Bad header=No recipient addresses found i: php-script, referer: http://www.canza.cz/comprofiler/moderateImages/

malformed header from script. Bad header=No recipient addresses found i: php-script, referer: http://www.canza.cz/comprofiler/steveprague/

if i disable the component it works ok.

I know you say the extension is not supported but it is encrypted and if it is not supported, why not make it open so we can try to debug these types of issues? or do you have a solution for this please?

Hi,

Make sure you use the right version of CB (v1.0.2). That's the only one it has been tested with.

Please contact me on mail, if possible with your FTP info and description how to replicate the error.

I fixed. My module wasn't published. I read in the Open-sef forum that the module must be published. However I have one problem.
It seems that all links with comprofiler are redirecting to edit profile page even when I try to login on my site.

See what my config:

Custom component strings
components with SEF extension:
comprofiler=>users-profiles,

Link to list users:
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=usersList&Itemid=1065
(Not working) keep me saying that I have to login to change my profile.

Link to user profile:
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=1064
give me the same error.

I'm running CB 1.0.2 and Joomla 1.0.12.
