SEF Advance and PHP 5.3
« on: 15 June 2011, 15:48 »
SEF Advance is failing to work after a PHP and ioncube upgrade.

PHP 5.3.3,
Zend Engine v2.3.0,
ionCube PHP Loader v4.0.7
Joomla 1.0.13

In apache error_log I get:
[Wed Jun 15 15:40:51 2011] [error] PHP Deprecated:  Function [obfuscated]() is deprecated in /~root-dir~/components/com_sef/sef_incl.php on line 0, referer: http://www.stgenix.co.uk//content/view/37/67/

Any help to fix this is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the recommendation. The thread does not explain how to solve it on J1.0.13.

I do not mind the errors in the log, but the whole website does not work.

Can you help troubleshoot?

It explains how to setup your server not to display deprecated messages. You might have some other errors that prevents it from working. In that case they are not in that log excerpt. Send me the login details and I will have a look.

I'm having the same problem with a blank screen now that I have upgraded my site to 5.3.8.  I have E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED set and I can send you a PM with login rights if that helps ...  I can get into the admin side just fine and my site loads just fine if I disable SEF Advance but of course I don't want to do that!

Thanks!

From the apache error_log:

[Mon Sep 19 18:17:23 2011] [notice] child pid 28556 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Running:
Joomla 1.5.23
Apache 2.2.20
PHP 5.3.8
CentOS
SEF Advance 2.4.6

Segmentation fault can be due to ionCube loaders. Have you upgraded them too?

Yes ... As far as I know I'm running the most recent one ... it was installed last night .. ioncube_loader_lin_5.3.so

Thanks for the quick reply!

Is there anything else I can check?
