option=com_user
« on: 16 April 2008, 15:22 »
Hi, I am having trouble with urls dealing with the built in user login of joomla.

I registered a user on my site, and in my email i received the activation link, looking like this
http://www.site.com/index.php?option=com_user&task=activate&activation=296d1374bc3b2312414a9b697daacd67

but when i click on it, i get a 404 with the url like this

http://www.site.com/user/activate/

Is there something i am doing wrong, or at least is there a way to get sef advanced 2008 to ignore com_user links?

I found your fireboard and communitybuilder extensions, will those work with sef advanced 2008?
Would this affect user registration?

I will have a look on that. In the meantime turn Redirect non-SEF URLs to OFF.

Redirect non-SEF URLs to OFF fixed my account activation link. Thanks.

The registration link problem has been fixed now so it will work even with non-sef redirect turned on. Please upgrade to latest version of SEF Advance 2008 (1.2.3).
