Wow; you're working really fast on this.  I can't thank you enough!

Shoot me a PM when you're ready to test and I'll get on it right away.

Edit:  If there are private messages.  Just realized that there may not be.  Ooops!

It is progressing. The main navigation URLs are done and look like:
http://www.domain.com/forum/
http://www.domain.com/forum/category/
http://www.domain.com/forum/category/thread/
http://www.domain.com/forum/category/thread/6/12/
http://www.domain.com/forum/post/reply/9/8/
http://www.domain.com/forum/post/edit/0/8/33/
http://www.domain.com/forum/rules/
etc.

TODO are plugins like Userlist and Latest posts with their navigations and user profiles.

As soon as I think I'm done I will post a beta for you to test.

very cool, awesome to see progress so soon

Hello guys,

Here is the first version of the extension for Fireboard: CLICK HERE.

Please test it and if you find any bugs or problems report here and try to be as detailed as possible so I can duplicate it.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you run the latest version of SEF Advance (5.2.1) and latest Fireboard (1.0.1 Beta).

If everything works fine also report back so I can publish it on the extension page.

Have fun.

Just tried to install and got this error when I tried to go to my forum:

The encoded file components/com_fireboard/sef_ext.php requires a license file ../com_sef/key.txt.

Ok got it up and running.

Most links seem to work great.

The one flaw I see so far is the link for "Online" that lists who is online. If you click that link, in my case http://drinkcraftbeer.com/forum/who.html it redirects back to the forum

also, on the rest of my site i want the .html suffix, but i'm not sure I do on the forum, is there a way to strip that just for the forum component?

Cheers,

Devon

Where do you find that link for "Online"? I don't see it anywhere.

No. You either have it or not for the whole site...

Emir,
It's working great over here!  Thank you for the excellent work and I will play with it more to find any bugs (if any).

Question: What's the string to call the component in the SEF Advanced config to change the default "fireboard" path?

Update: NVM!  I was missing a comma.  It's "fireboard" of course. ;)

Thank you again!

Great to hear. I will be waiting for a day or so for you to search for bugs and then announce it. Testing it myself on couple of sites too.

Right, the replace is: fireboard=>forum

This may be some function of my site, hard to tell really, but once i added the sef ext to fireboard I did notice an odd function with my template.

If you go to my site: http://drinkcraftbeer.com

and click any of the nav bars at the top "interviews for instance" it highlights that button while you are on the page.

when I enabled sef advance with the new sef ext it seems to break that. You go to the forum just fine, but the site doesn't seem to know you are on the forum page and thus it breaks that look and feel.

Hope that makes sense.
