on: 15 December 2009, 09:30 1 Products / SEF Advance / Problem after moving to another host

Hi!

I moved our site www.crazynight.dk to another host and now my links don't work.

The host has ioncube installed and is running php5.3 - is this not enough?

on: 19 May 2009, 19:07 2 Products / SEF Advance / Duplicate content

For some reason, I have a lot of duplicate content at www.bryllup.dk

I have a lot of pairs like:

‎/anbefalinger/Artikeldatabase/brudepar/Vielse-og-ritualer_c28_m265.html‎
‎/anbefalinger/Artikeldatabase/brudepar/vielse-og-ritualer_c28_m265.html‎

....where the only difference is big/small start letter in title of the given article (like "vielse" and "Vielse" here).

How do I avoid this? The parameter "Lower case" IS set to yes!!

on: 23 April 2009, 06:00 3 Products / SEF Advance / How do I avoid breaking bot URLs?

I just found out here http://www.jv-extensions.com/jv-rel-support/403-keyword-link-is-empty-search.html#post735 that the reason to the given problem at our site, is because the bot JV-relatives and SefAdvance  conflicts.

I would like to turn off sef'ed URLs for the bot, but how can I do that?

Perhaps you can respond to Vinjay in the forum, so he doesn't waste time investigating, if you have a good idea? :)

on: 18 April 2009, 06:43 4 Products / SEF Advance / Some chars not replaced

Hi!

Thanks for a great component!

I have a problem, though.

In my REPLACE CHARS, I have:

Ã¥=>aa,
æ=>ae,
ø=>oe

But the URL http://www.crazynight.dk/13-hvad-bør-i-få-bekræftet.html is only partly translated, as it ends up as http://www.crazynight.dk/13-hvad-boer-i-faa-bekræftet.html where "æ" in "bekræftet" is not translated to "ae" as it should.

Any idea why / how to fix this?

Any chance for a JomSocial integration with SefAdvance if we say pleeeeease ? :)

on: 12 February 2009, 10:38 6 Products / SEF Advance / Kunena support

It seems that big parts of the FireBoard community has put their love on the www.Kunena.com forum, which takes over from FireBoard.

As a 1.5 native version that lowers the database load to 10-12% of Fireboard, a LOT of fireboards will switch and it's several versions of Fireboard since Sakic's file got too old to use for SefAdvance.

I know there has been a lot of talk about how 3rd party components cannot be supported by Sakic himself, which is most understable, but from my point of view, at least the "huge" components like FireBoard, CB etc. are so wide spread and used on so many sites, that I would find it reasonable for Sakic to adapt SefAdvance for these.

Afterall, it's also in the interest of SefAdvance (as a commercial / paid component) to stay up to date and not rely on other people to make 3rd party extensions for SefAdvance - who and why would they spend time on that - they do it for free stuff like SH404sef?

So: I would kindly ask Sakic to develope and maintain a plugin for Kunena / SefAdvanced. :)

on: 12 February 2009, 10:28 7 Products / SEF Advance / Finally MyBlog is working with SefAdvance

As you might have seen in other posts in here, we've had problems using the latest MyBlog and latest SefAdvance.

The attached file is updated and I can confirm that it works. Feel free to use it :)

There is still a problem regarding duplicate content, though...........

You can open the same content in several ways, which I would really like to avoid. Have a look:

on: 10 February 2009, 17:49 8 Products / SEF Advance / Fireboard pagination problem

Hi

I just realised that all our subpages in Fireboard (page 2 and beyond) doesn't work when SefAdvance is turned on.

It simply uses the same URL for alle pages.

Is there a fix to this?

on: 04 February 2009, 08:18 9 Products / SEF Advance / Google doesn't verify us after changing to SefAdvance

Hi!

3 weeks ago, we decided to change from sh404sef to SefAdvance on www.bryllup.dk

Now our Google webmastertools says that:

Verification status: NOT VERIFIED
Last attempt Feb 3, 2009: We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (Success) in the header.

This is scary - how do I fix this? We need the 404 file to return a proper 404 code, of course :)

on: 03 February 2009, 16:46 10 Products / AJAX series / Unable to create albums even though all CHMOD 777

I cannot create new albums in backend.

I followed your guides regarding CHmod. Still no luck.

Now I set ALL APA dirs and files to 777 and still no luck?

"Cannot add album because you haven't got the rights"......  :-\

on: 02 February 2009, 12:48 11 Products / SEF Advance / How I solved a problem in 1.5 / sefadcance and CB 1.2

Hi!

Just wanted to let you know, that I solved something that has been a really, REALLY big problem to us.

We spent January migrating from 1.0 to 1.5 Joomla. In this proces, we also went for the 1.5 version of SefAdvance and also the new CB 1.2

On testserver, things went ok and we released this Saturday. When users came online, the server was completely overloaded all the time. We started studying server load and just 5-6 users would use 20% of our capacity. Normally, in 1.0 we could have 5.000 users online with no problem at all.

We started turning components, modules and plugins on/off ...... simpel "trial and error" and found out, that when Joomla SEF was turned on, things were really slow and serverload extreme. Without, no problem.

I tried turning it on and started changing SEFadvance setup and suddenly, it all runs smoothly.

It seems that the main difference is based on wether or not the Legacy setting is on or off in SefAdvance.

When Legacy sef off, huge problem - and users cannot even log in/out if CB is not ignored by Sefadvance.

When Legacy sef turned on, everything is smooth and fast, but CB users cannot login/out.

When Legacy sef turned on and CB is ignored, everything is fine.

When Legacy sef turned off, CB doesn't have to be ignored.

To my best knowledge, CB 1.2 is 1.5 native. But, for some reason, in backend it's not recognized by Joomla as a native componet.

Perhaps this is why the combination has to be Legacy sef ON and CB IGNORED?

This is just my guess but I will send this to Beat (CB developer) also for a comment.

on: 01 February 2009, 12:15 12 Products / SEF Advance / JRoutersite not found

Hi!

We're running 1.5.9 and SefAdvance 1.9.1 and I just discovered a problem.

If you look in top of www.bryllup.dk and finde the "nyeste tilbud" modul - there's the latest listings from Mosets Tree.

This normally works, but the listing "Fotograf Ole Vangsgaard" doesn't.

I found in FireBug, that I get:

Code: [Select]
Fatal error: Class 'JRouterSite' not found in /data/www/ds5007/domains/bryllup.dk/public_html/components/com_sef/sef_incl.php on line 0
Can you please help me solve this?

on: 29 January 2009, 15:23 13 Products / SEF Advance / Can't seem to get .html-suffix

Hmmmm.........?

I turned on suffix in 1.5.0.- I have ".html" in suffix parameter................. but still, my URLs doesn't have html suffix?

Can someone please help me?

on: 18 January 2009, 11:16 14 Products / SEF Advance / Is your Groupjive-link broken?

When I look at http://www.sakic.net/products/sef_advance/extensions/, there's a link to a GroupJive extension for SefAdvance.

Are you sure this link is not dead? I just reach an almost empty page with no extensions to download?

on: 18 January 2009, 11:04 15 Products / SEF Advance / Difference in URLs between j1.0 and j1.5 sefadvance??

I just bought the J1.5 version of SefAdvance for one of our existing sites - thanks for the automatic discount, Sakic! :)

I have a question, though : are the URLs not supposed to be the same, if the setup is the same.

I followed the instructions in setup and I set the backend of SefAdvance as similar to our 1.0-installation, as possible.

The URLs just look different.

As our developementsite is not updated with same content, I can't give you the exact same URL to compare, but a good example:

An article in j1.0-series SefAdvance looks like:

An article in j1.5-series SefAdvance looks like:

http://www.bryllup.dk/2009/index.php?option=com_myblog&show=Bryllupsbibel-pA-vej-top-100-huskeliste-pA-DANSK.html&Itemid=100170

Why all the "index.php?" and "&itemid=" etc?
Pages: [1] 2
