No ip logging

Turning register_globals=off has an effect on ip logging! It seams that ipadresses aren't logged anymore "(Host could not be resolved)"!   
Is there a solution for this?

mambook.php change line 202 to:
// IP
   $ip = mosGetParam( $_SERVER, 'REMOTE_ADDR', '' );
